Our hand raised sheep

This is Pepper. He was born on the 10th September 2016 and came from John Morrison as an orphan Triplet. He was raised inside and thought he was a cat. We trained Pepper like you would a dog, so he is collar and lead trained, which makes life so much easier now he's 100kg and we also trained him to be able to check his teeth and gums and lift his legs to check his hooves. Sheep are very intelligent so learn quickly :-)

This is Mint (left) and Sage (right) at 10 months old.

They were both from Morrison Wiltshires born 2 days apart at the end of August 2015.

Mint was 3.6kg at birth and Sage just 2.2kg.

They slept inside at night in a large crate for the first 6 weeks and had great fun running round the house in nappies in the evenings. They had time outside on the grass in a pen during fine weather.

As they got older Sage became the dominant ewe although Mint is the biggest. They are still very bonded at hate to be apart for any reason.
