We decided to birth the sheep in the implement shed and lawn pen like last year as then it would be warm and dry rather than subjected to what ever the weather was on the day.  Below is a photo of one of the two pens we set up.

Nutmeg was first to deliver and we knew fr...

It has come to my attention that so many people don't know much about sheep or lambing.

Growing up I spent some weekends and holidays at my sister and brother in laws farm and learnt a bit about sheep and lambing etc... I did an animal care diploma and the practical par...

On Friday 7th June Carl from Agscan came to scan our sheep.

It was so exciting and knowing who was pregnant and how many they are having means that I can feed them in late stage pregnancy appropriately and be prepared.

They are good size babies!

Thyme is a great mum and she and the lambs are doing well.  Mr Dangleberry the Dad will be...

On the 20th March 2018 Mr Dangleberry (named by my husband) was delivered by his breeder Lyn Strickland.  He is on lease for the next few months.

Mr Dangleberry is a very nice handsome boy, who is taking his job seriously.

The photo above was taken the day he arrived.

Parsley & Nutmeg are so big now but the spoilt babies are still on one bottle feed a day.  They get Reliance Lamb performance pellets morning and night and are thriving.

They only went to one bottle a day on Boxing day.

In a couple of weeks they will be weaned fully.  Th...
