Sheep shelters

Our animals (including our 2 house cows) have always had Shelters available which we have built ourselves.

This was Peppers very own shelter built between Christmas and New Year 2016 for his 1st night in the paddock.

He loved it and still uses it every night and when it's raining :-)

This is one of 3 large shelters we built. They now all have concrete floors, with rubber mats and straw for comfort :-) Only the very best for our animals.

I am always pleased to see lifestyle blocks and farms that have animal shelters.

Shelters have many benefits for both farmer and animals - specifically increased animal welfare, reduced environmental impacts, increased milk production and lower death rates.

This is the big sheep shelter completed & the photo above shows the inside, with leather chair, brush to rub on and the mats and straw. Lucky sheep!
