Parsley & Nutmeg

On the 9th September Parsley got a new friend called Nutmeg. They hit it off straight away despite the 4 weeks age difference. Nutmeg was a week old when we got her and wasn't in great shape as she'd had a very rough start to life. With the help of antibiotics and lots of TLC Nutmeg made a full recovery. For 8 days, the girls spent the days outside in the grass pen and inside over night running around in nappies and then crated separately over night, then they spent their first night in the implement shed.

The photos above are from Nutmeg's first night :-)

It's neat watching them bounce around together, playing chase and they cuddle up in the kennel to sleep at night.

They started on a 50/50 mix of our fresh cows milk and their Milligans formula when was Nutmeg was 4 weeks old. It seemed that Nutmeg grew so much in the proceeding week, getting much taller.

They are growing so fast, photo taken above at 5 and 9 weeks old. Parsley started shedding her fleece at 7 weeks of age, this is the earliest of any of our orphans.

They are yet to get into the paddock as it's just been so wet still. In addition to their 4 bottle feeds per day of 250ml, they eat at least 1kg of Reliance Lamb start mix and baleage and grass.
