Parsley & Nutmeg growing up

Parsley & Nutmeg are so big now but the spoilt babies are still on one bottle feed a day. They get Reliance Lamb performance pellets morning and night and are thriving.

They only went to one bottle a day on Boxing day.

In a couple of weeks they will be weaned fully. They have been full time paddock girls since our weather improved toward the end of October. They are with the big sheep all day. Here are some photos, the girls got into the Christmas spirit. Enjoy :-)

Parsley is now 22 weeks old and Nutmeg is 18 weeks old.

When they were last weighed they were the same weights as twin ewe raised lambs that their breeder has. So that is really good for orphans!

I highly recommend mixing fresh cows milk and formula 50/50 if you have the opportunity. They have certainly done very well on it.

Parsley still likes to sit on my knee when I'm out in the paddock! She's a bit big and heavy but she is determined and very sweet.

Nutmeg was fully shed by 16 weeks, her wool is softer and Parsley stopped shedding for a month but is on her 2nd shed now and is just finishing the top part. It's interesting seeing the different shedding patterns and wool textures/lengths.
